How comes Wallinger isn’t riding for Redcar tonight. It takes 3 days for a new declaration to be approved mike .

Of coarse , Dave’s goal in life is to ride for his home team Redcar, he has always given me 100 % and now the Redcar door has closed I am confident he will be giving 100% as usual .

Glad to hear that Redcar have been refused permission to sign David Wallinger. Also good to hear Mark’s slant on events.. Mark is obviously happy to have David return to Plymouth, and in the circumstances this looks like the best option for the club. It is going to be very difficult for the rest of the season with Adam out injured. Let’s just get on with it and provide some good racing for the fans - we cannot expect to win all our home meetings. Without all the injuries I think we would be looking to the playoffs rather than the wooden spoon! Also the numerous wet Fridays have really broken up the season and this has not helped crowd levels.

As much as Adams injury is bad and I’d rather he was riding and not injured of course however I think with how well he has done has meant that I think we will cover his score without the need of a replacement and thankfully Wallinger is still with us he again makes us stronger. With the new average I believe Ritchie Andrews, Stoneman and Wallinger can all take an R/R so they should be able to cover the points he would have got !
In regards to Wallinger not being committed I think is never an issue on a couple of fronts.....
1- he don’t score points he isn’t getting any money 2- he’s far more professional than not trying 3- No one can blame him for riding for his own home town team and ( with it being a level up) probs more money, last travel and such taking off my devil tinted glasses would make no sense to turn it down. ( and of course it works both ways when riders are released )
Moving on however I have no worries that this team will now push on and get as high up the league as possible.
P.S the thought of potentially going up a league if we raised money between us all, makes me think could we get together and do some fundraisers over the winter ( quiz night, sponsored walks, sponsorship, etc etc ). I suppose we can only hope to help !
