A very heavy rain cell developed north west of Poole and soaked the track, causing the meeting to be postponed apparently, perhaps a very heavy brain cell needed to be developed at the track to get it postponed a lot earlier and save fans a wasted journey. Of course there are a lot more astute promotions throughout the country that aren't afraid to call off meetings a lot earlier than three and a half hours before tapes up and quite a few doing so often get castigated, as I've said before. I was fortunate as I was driving to a business meeting on Thursday morning, so the cost of travel didn't have a big financial cost to me anyway, it was still a shame that I couldn't get an away 'glads' meeting in, even if it was at the 'coldest' track in the country.

Oh, it's worth reading, but these are Lawson's direct quotes lifted from the article: "God I was an idiot, I can't actually believe I even got in talks with Plymouth" "Mark Phillips, if you're watching, block my phone number. That was one lucky escape. He came full of promises and the pound signs kind of distracted me, but yeah... there is not enough money in the world that would get me to ride for them." At least Mark when he rode didn’t deliberately take out fellow riders like a certain person who wrote the above quotes.plus injure a fellow rider I’ve forgotten how many now !!🤔🤔 Perhaps it was us who had a lucky escape!!
