CRADLEY are set to race on in 2018 with a National Trophy campaign featuring home matches at Monmore Green.
The Heathens withdrew from league competition after eight seasons but will now join Birmingham, Buxton, Coventry (subject to confirmation) and Stoke in home and away Trophy clashes in a bid to reach the Final.
Co-promoter Gary Patchett said: “Whilst we thank David Mason (Birmingham) for extending an invitation for the club to use Perry Barr again it is not viable for us to do so.
“We made a pledge to our supporters to do everything in our power to keep the club on track next season and this was the only option open to us.
“We thank the other member clubs of the NL for allowing us the opportunity to keep the name of this great club alive.”

I mean looking at the points limit this year it almost seems certain that you are going to have a minimum of 2 riders between 3-4 points.
Itthen looks unlikely unless you have 3 riders between 3-4 points you will have enough for a strong top end.
If all riders were available and such like (i know a lot of mine won’t come here or can’t come here having signed for another team )
1-Ellis perks 2-Callum Walker 3- Tom Brennan 4-henry Atkins 5- Ben Wilson 6- Jamie holder 7- 3.00

PLYMOUTH have announced changes behind the scenes and a return to the team for popular local teenager Henry Atkins.
Co-promoter Laurence Rogers is leaving the club with Stuart Kellie set to be appointed as his replacement subject to BSPA approval, whilst former rider Matt Bates will take over as team manager.
Devils chief Mark Phillips said: “It will be strange not having Laurence at Plymouth, however I realise the 600-mile trip each week for home meetings, plus some personal issues have put a strain on his personal and business life.
“He will continue some involvement within British Speedway and on the end of a telephone for advice if required, and we wish him well for the future.”

Understandable I suppose but as I say thank you Laurence you will always go down as one of the two guys who saved Plymouth speedway hopefully you will pop down to the sba at some point this year.

Henry Atkins Racing
Glad to be back at Plymouth, I had a great time last year, brilliant fans and well run club. The fans will be pleased with the changes and the riders Mark has signed. See you all soon.

Interesting to see Matt Bates stepping into the Team Manager position. His work with Exeter marked him out for this, so it looks like a natural progression for him.

I wonder when the rest of the side will be announced. Mike if I've read it correctly, there will be a rider announced tonight at 1930 and every night, and a member of the promotion at 1500 every afternoon.

Really pleased to see Henry back for next season. A smashing young man with a big future. I can see this young man going a long way with good guidance from his Dad Mike. Welcome back the pair of you, a great start for the team rebuilding, well done Mark.
