Whilst watching Leicester v Edinburgh tonight Adam Roynon was a co-commentator’.
It was said on there that Adam has signed for Scunthorpe in the championship and Plymouth in the Deveopment league.
Therefore, welcome back Adam

Well done everyone. We needed to make a new signing and Adam fits the bill very well. Wishing him an enjoyable season at Plymouth. I am sure he will fit in very well

It was confirmed that Adam is indeed joining the Centurions. I'm genuinely not convinced about this, he's had an awful season so far and a rider of his experience should be aiming alot higher than the NDL. Is he really committed to the sport,no doubt he'll score a few points-as a rider of his age and experience should at this level-but I'm not convinced about his commitment to the Centurions. Just my thoughts I hope to be proved wrong. Humble pie at the ready 😀

Adam Roynon joins The SWTR Centurions July 24, 2022 Popular ex Plymouth Devil and Centurions rider Adam Roynon has rejoined the Plymouth SWTR Centurions Team for the remaining 2022 NDL season Fixtures, and will make his latest club debut on the Northern Tour which visits Berwick and Armadale in early August, with an NDL Home debut scheduled for Tuesday 9th August.
Roynon, who was the 2006 Conference League Riders Champion has previous experience riding for Plymouth Teams in 2008, 2015, 2018, 2019 and 2021.
In a career beset with some very serious injuries, the popular Cumbrian born rider not only brings a wealth of on-track experience, but is also one of the most sought after mechanics and mentors off the track, and that expertise in the pits will be of huge benefit to some fellow team members.
With Dan Gilkes targeting a possible August comeback and with the Guest Facility still available for him, the SWTR Centurions have finally plugged the gap left by the departed Henry Atkins with someone of a similar average at NDL level. Adam will also continue to ride for Scunthorpe in the Championship.
With recently recruit Ben Phillips suffering an injury whilst grasstrack racing that will keep him out for the season and young Devonian Ben Trigger recovering from a leg injury that has required surgery, the experienced Roynon will be a most welcome addition.
The SWTR Centurions have redeclared their Team as:
Dan Gilkes 10.30 average
Ben Trigger 6.17
Richard Andrews 6.15
Adam Roynon 6.00
Adam Extance 5.00
David Abraham 3.00
Rhys Naylor 3.00
The next action at The Coliseum sees The Plymouth Westcolour Gladiators take on the Oxford Cheetahs in the Jubilee League (Southern division) this coming Tuesday (26th July) with a meeting preview supplied on the Tuesday morning.
