A very enjoyable meeting in which we kept the scores close all the way through. Looked like we might win half way through but Clegg and Morley are very strong on this track and did the business in 13 and 15. Connor King also had a good meeting - another one of those riders who underperforms for us then does better elsewhere!
Adam and guest Nathan Ablitt rode well, probably as expected, but I thought Rhys was superb, unlucky not to nick third on the line in one race, but a great tally of 10+2 from 7 rides, and he looked very comfortable. Overall I was very happy to get a point, which might be decisive for us to avoid the wooden spoon.
Spoke to quite a few Kent fans who were very amiable and chatty. Most seemed to be from Essex so I had no language issues! The overall set up there is very friendly. A bit "spit and sawdust" but I kind of like that.
