Think the Armadale team may have run over too many black cats on their way down the M5, despite winning the majority of heats, they ran too many last places and seemed to pick up a Plymouth way of low scoring on R/R, just 2 points more from those rides would have given them a point. It's obviously not unheard of but it is quite unusual for a side to go through a whole 15 heats without picking up a single bonus point, but they managed it. As already mentioned Lee Complin was easily worth the entry fee, was he trying to outdo Tony Rickardsson's Cardiff 'wall of death' in that heat, thrilling stuff from an 'old school' entertainer, watched by a disappointing low but enthusiastic crowd, all those that decided to give this meeting a miss for whatever reason we're the real loosers tonight. Incidentally, speedway is full of legendary stories, was it really possible to ride a speedway bike around inside Plymouth's Old Corn Exchange, the main hall their was on the first floor, yet another incredible story from the Archives page.

Just a question are you allowed to use a tac sub in the national league if you are why didn’t Armadale use one.

Forgot to mention earlier, the joys of posting in the middle of the night when half my brain is asleep, there was a bit of a rumour going around (I know, I know we shouldn't listen to hearsay) that last night was potential the last time we'll see Richard Andrews taking to the track, on a speedway bike anyway, if this does turn out to be true, what a fantastic high scoring way to finish a speedway career. Thanks for the memories Richie.

Greenlander you summed it up perfectly. It's not often you get no reruns, no falls or exclusions. The meeting was run seamlessly and it was nice to get home early!
Lee Complin was just sublime. More than happy to see him get a maximum as he's a Gladiator. He's another Ben Barker, the way he rides the boards. Sometimes it looks like he's going to lose it, then corrects himself. Exciting stuff. He has taken to our track well and I can't wait to see him next week.
All we need now is for Leicester to win at Armadale for us to avoid the wooden spoon. On paper they should do that.
The crowd was a bit down which was disappointing, but hopefully it will be better next week for our final match.

Thanks for the memories Richie. Shame if true as he's been a solid and reliable servant to the club these last few years. If we're running an NDL side again next year it's lads like Richie that are needed to help bring through the youngsters. Be interesting to see what occurs given Ben's "we'll see" answer as to his future plans and you'd suspect another club may come tempting Rhys given his excellent return to racing. I've got other thoughts but I'm saving that for when I've got more time. The other thing I meant to mention last night is that felt more like what you'd want NDL racing to be. Some really decent, experienced riders giving it hammer and tongs for every lap of the track, especially against each other coupled with whoiehearted trying and some visible progress from the youngsters and to be fair you got that across the board last night. Even the unattached Devils reserves gave it their all but our reserves were better. It was all round enjoyable stuff. But, yeah, all the best Richie if you are hanging up your kevlars.

Brilliant interview with Adam R over on the Gladiators facebook page. Like him a lot as rider but also comes over really well. General gist - he could have had Lee anytime but he wanted to go home in his own van. Sounds like Mark prepped the track so Lee could race that line too. Edit to add: Available to watch on the speedwaygb site. Link here: britishspeedway.co.uk/ndl/centurions-down-pipes-devils/
