Cheers for clearing that up heat1 is was only going by program lol I don’t want to harp on but I personally put a lot of time and effort into the setting up of the track when it first started I’ve seen throughout the years the different states of the track as have the few ardent fans that still come in week in week out the ones that don’t come anymore we’re the ones that seem to have been slated or put down by previous managements promoters etc as a loyal fan sometimes a step back and look at the supporters views should be taking into account a little I’m not saying every time but you just have to see the dwindling crowds to tell you something must be wrong again only my opinion which people should take or disregard it is only an opinion which we are all entitled to as paying customers I do appreciate matts post which he didn’t have to put on but we need to all come together for the sake of Plymouth speedway Totally agree Martin , if they ban everyone who voiced an opinion that the promotion didn't like there would be no one left. That Sir is my prerogative, I accept people’s opinions , and have heard several, this post is not about banning people who express an opinion , this post is purely about not tolerating foul language in front of families,I understand you like `Somerset Speedway . ENJOY. The difference between us is this . Plymouth Speedway will continue without you, Plymouth Speedway would not continue without me.

Why did we not use a tactical substitute last night when we were 8 down by in heat 9 we could have had Ben in instead of Adam s or am I wrong.

What a good no1 Ben is proving to be and Adam stance is really progressing however Richard Andrews this week and last week looked down on power is he trying a different set up?if so it aint working imo go back to what was you were starting to look like a genuine heat leader if it's not broke don't try to fix it.

I left after heat 7 for no other reason than having to get to work so I guess my opinions only count for about half, but oh my, it's kicked off a bit back there.
Believe me I'm no expert but I thought the track looked alright. I've no idea what that gremlin was coming out of the first bend but interesting how it seemed to be most problematic for two of the quicker riders. My thought is maybe it was on the line that both Drew and Nathan like as they were the ones that seemed to find it. Drew for one went high enough to clear the air fence and maybe the youth are just a bit more bouncy. While Nathan was down I noticed both young Kempy and Ben deep in conversation seemingly about it and the way they were both pointing suggested to me they were discussing how they preferred to take that corner. And while we're on that, mikeonthemic has for as long as I've been going always gone over to injured riders to report on their condition. Alright, so maybe Nathan had a bit more than a sore neck and had no chance of racing again but in no way was his comment inappropriate. I've no issue with the photogrpher taking pictures either so long as neither are in the way what does it matter.
Reading the updates it certainly seemed to liven up after I left. I agree with lewy in that Adam E is more than proving his worth and Ben is a more than decent number 1. Let's face it, Drew Kemp has pwned our track since he came down as a reserve with Mildenhall in the NT final, but Ben won that particular battle 2-1. It's a shame that Richie couldn't take advantage in heat 5 and nick the win off Alex Spooner. Just turning that over would have got us a point. Thing is when I left I thought we'd be losing by 10+. You're up against it when your down lose your second top rider pretty much as soon and are already running with r/r. Adam S had a couple of nice rides, and if Richie had, even just an average night around our track we'd have won it - it just did't feel like his night which isn't any kind of criticism only that his luck wasn't there.
Kent are one of the tipped sides in our league. We pretty much raced them with one hand tied behind our backs and ran them as close as it gets.
Oh, and Saul Bulley is starting to look better and better too.

I think the boys all deserve real praise. The gremlin seemed to disappear after those few heats infact the Falcons v Reading ( if supporters had stayed on to watch) showed no problems.
It seems to me its just a few chaps on here that want their voices to be heard above others, yes it is a discussion forum but in recent weeks it seems to have become a bit of a witch hunt against the promotion, Mark in particular. I personally think that is wrong and well out of order, he spends many long hours trying to get the track especially right (whatever that means), on the good side where was the dust last night :-) I will support the team and management because they are providing me with my speedway fix, I applaud Mark for keeping his calm (outwardly anyway) that must be a very difficult thing to do at times, if I had been putting in the time, effort and money he has I would have said goodbye weeks ago. so my thanks go to him for not doing that :-)

If you're on facebook there's an 8-second clip that shows Nathan's fall.
Maybe his front wheel locks or he's turning too sharply, I'm certainly no speedway rider so wouldn't know. Either way his back wheel ends up in front of him and down he goes.
It also shows how quick he is away from the gate. Hope he's back racing soon.

Thanks Greenlander.......I got four pictures of the incident watching from the Colin Hill Stand, stills shot on burst, I have posted some from the meeting on my F/B page but didn't include those because I don't know how Nathan is regarding the injury, it was a very nasty landing, likewise I hope he is ok.

M/B Thank you for that reply, over the years you and the family given the Plymouth supporters many good memories to look back on (thank you for that). There are many long term supporters out there who have not been on a bike, but have picked up an opinion or two on this sport. The one thing that up set me last night was when N/S was on the deck there was a camera man on the track taking close up shots? centre green man over looking at him, then making a comment that he had a sour neck! correct me please, I was sure it states that when a rider comes off only the medical team plus riders mechanic should be in attendance!. For myself up in the stand on bend one, There was quite a lot of vocal discontent but with young children and ladies close by, I did not hear any type of bad language from this area. I did leave after heat 9 very disappointed in the meeting. Yep I always go to riders to check condition. I thought people would like to know the condition of a rider. Sometimes I'm asked to walk away. Last night a medical guy gave me his diagnosis so I pass that on....

Which I think is completely the right course of action. Any posting of photos/ clips with regard any incident should always be dependent on its severity. I'd like to assume that by posting the video that Nathan is 'reasonably' alright. (air quotes used as I'm guessing he won't be fit for this evening, but hopefully soonish)
