Yes was a good meeting I thought Steven isn't far off the pace just his gating if he or someone could work with him on that it would be a benefit to him as he's not far off the pace as we are definitely noticing if you don't gate there's not a lot of chances to overtake I thought Rory Schlein was a bit over the top with his dig at Alfie from where I was watching (bend 2)he cut across him and to me that was dangerous so Alfie had every right to question him which I believe happened but I guess Rorys ego got the better of him!! [/i][/b] I hope you were listening to Jason Crump when he was interviewed. He said it was hard but fair and thats how to pass when conditions were tough. Be interesting to read your comments when a Plymouth rider does that to an opposition rider. I thought Pooles early dominance killed the meeting for atmosphere. For me, it was the poorest meeting in terms of excitement so far.Eight of the first 10 races were won by the rider in White. Track was very slick. Cant be helped though. Some odd refereeing decisions not helping, very inconsistent. Warning riders for moving at the start, from both sides, then allowing those riders to keep moving. Steven Goret moved every race. I also thought, quite clearly, that Hume had stolen 3rd from Ruddick on the line in Ht4, by at least half a bike length. I was stood directly in line with the start on the back straight. Supporters from both sides were surprised when it was announced the other way round. I suppose thats one of the drawbacks when the referees sightline is not in direct line with the tapes. Much better presented this week with Rob Dyer . Clear, concise, informative, good interviews. A definite improvement. [/quote]

Yes, that meeting was quite poor. However, the first 2 meetings were fantastic. Such is life. Normally, I don't ever give any problem points. I always made to give positive and congratulatory comments. This time, I would like to make 2 points. My brother, my friend and I were looking to hear from Jason Crump. We were frustrated on 2 things ... (a) we always stand on the back straight stand ... between the exit of the 2nd bend and about the early yards at the start of this stand. Previously, we just put up with the poor speakers. It means that we couldn't really hear things are difficult. It was a little flat for the racing in the first races, so we were forward to listen from Jason. We just couldn't listen much at all. I understand that he gave a great interview. Please, could you place the speakers for that part of that stand or turn up the volume? (b) However, when we could listen to a part of the interview, he couldn't hear anyway. As soon as Jason Crump spoke, 2 tractors started up to work on the track As I have said, I am a massive fan. I always encourage and give positive messages. I look forward to Tuesday's meeting. (I will record the Germany match and hope that I won't find the result Roger (rogero)

Big thank u to Plymouth promotion. Ref man with Mike, can hear him, but can never understand one word from interviewees. On a very Slick Track, overtaking, take 2nd bend very tight an cut in on enterance to bend three. Alfie tried on Stefan Nielsen an failed, Schlein succeeded on Alfie, Unless u can perform a Barne Pedersen Cut Back, not easy to achieve. After the second bend on first lap one, TWO overtakes per meeting, 13 out of 15 races , follow the leader. This is not ENTERTAINMENT for new people to the sport. Sadly after 48 years as a Speedway Fanatic one watches a Dieing Sport.

The only time Poole rode away meeting at Plymouth was in September 1962. I was 7 .... my Dad took me to Pennycross regularly. My best friend was also with my Dad at Pennycross those days ago. He wanted to see Poole at Plymouth this week. I told him that the racing at Plymouth is excellent. It was not a great meeting and went away with the same conclusions as you. I really enjoyed the Kent and Berwick meetings this season. He will come back to try it again. Best regards Roger (rogero).

Rogero and the the pancake man,I do think its a bit harsh to start moaning about the entertainment on offer, things to consider are the difficult weather conditions to get track prep bang on although the track did provide the fastest time of the season, also to see the likes of schlien, pedersen, King Worrall and Lawson going all-out to win races not entertaining I don't get it,I would rather watch bjarne go around on his own than go back to NL be grateful we now have quality riders to watch week in and week out. I won't quote my speedway knowledge or lack of it and years of watching it as to add justification to my opinions as I believe it to be no relevance whatsoever.

Ok , track prep ast week , I had heavy flooding on bend 3 and 4 and on the inside 6 ft on bends 1 and 2 on Monday which left the inside very soft , this needed to dry sufficiently for racing , it meant I could not put the usual amount of pre meeting water on the track which left is very slick , (to Bjarne’s liking lol) , I am purposely keeping it quite slick at the moment as the new riders in our team need to build confidence and learn some track craft before giving them the grip, a track that is too grippy for our riders to enjoy will only end in tears, once their confidence is up they will realize there is dirt on the fence. They just got to go for it .. I think childsy on the mic helped with the atmosphere a great deal however he has had to take a trip home to Australia for personal reasons . It will get better. 2 out of 3 ain’t bad ,,I heard that somewhere !!
