I suppose it goes without saying that it will be great to get a home meeting in, after going almost a third of a winter close down without any live speedway action over recent weeks, with the forecast looking fairly good over the next two days, with just a couple of early/midday showers expected I can see no reason for this meeting not to go ahead, let's hope the boys in Blue and Yellow stay safe and the Speedway God's smile for a change.

The sun is shining... at blooming last.
Who knows quite what to expect. Probably be close but maybe, just maybe, we can not only win but nab the bonus point. Our season starts here.

Can't catch a cold.
Bears won the heats. Bears stayed on their bikes. It makes the difference.

Don’t understand the Ben barker exclusion when Connor Bailey got away with a couple pretty sure he took out Gilkes in the 3rd ht and similar incident when Pearson fell .I’ve been watching speedway for over 50 years and tonight for the first time got disillusioned with the sport I’ll probably be ok next week but just speedway in general it’s just seems to be a dying sport because of the people in charge, you just have to look at all the other teams currently struggling. Although I’m sure our riders are just as disappointed as we are

At last, great to see the Glads back on their home track, not so great a result though, a night of some 'interesting' refereeing decisions and heat results with multiple reruns, a night that reminded me of numerous meetings against 'the eight legged ones' from Lincolnshire. But who at the club is responsible for running over all those black cats, nice to sit in the main stand that was packed solid, looking around the track it must have been the best crowd of the season, unfortunately the Speedway God's didn't smile down on the riders in Blue and Yellow, on to next week against the 'stripes' from north of the border it is then.
