BIRMINGHAM’S Liam Carr has announced his decision to retire from the sport. Carr made a major impact with the Brummies in the National League after losing his place with SGB Championship club Berwick – and then produced a vital race victory for Swindon when he guested in the Premiership Grand Final. But the 21-year-old has now called it a day after previous spells with Stoke, Buxton, Coventry Storm and Peterborough. He said: “I'd made my mind up a few months ago now. It's been a blast during my time at Birmingham, but that's me done now and at least I'm going out on a personal high. “I'd just like to thank all of the supporters and the management for everything this year and I wish them all the best for the future.”link

Damn shame? Was hoping he might sign for us in 2018. Best of Luck Liam.
