BIRMINGHAM have snapped up British 250cc Youth Champion Leon Flint to fill one of their reserve berths for next season. Flint turns 15 in February which will make him eligible for National League racing, and he now joins Danyon Hume as confirmed starters for the Brummies. Club owner David Mason said: “Three-pointers are so, so important in team building - but good ones are like gold dust. “Your likes of Drew Kemp and Jason Edwards were probably the two standout riders on that average for next season because they've already had National League meetings under their belt. “But for me Leon is a match for those two guys and I think this is brilliant for Birmingham Speedway. “He is undoubtedly one of the stars of the future who has already achieved a lot at such a young age. “Signing Danyon on his average and getting a three-pointer in like Leon is an absolute dream start to our plans for next season.” link
