I don't know if anyone can help but there was an article and photograph in yesterday's Sunday Independent of speedway meetings taking place in Newton Abbot at the Rec ( this is now the home of Newton Abbot Spurs ) during the early 1930s. I have looked on line and spoken to several people but can find nothing about this. Does anyone have any information .

Ref Haldon, I seem to recall some long track racing there but must have been back in the 60/70's
