Unfortunate news on the BSF that Nico Covatti was injured in Argentina in the past few days.
Looks as though Plymouth are heading for a team change after Nico Covatti picked up injuries while racing in Argentina.
Taken from Facebook.
Last night, during a test of the International Championship of Argentina due to an accident, Nicolas Covatti suffered an injury that required the intervention of the medical staff. From the first news, it appears that the @mclonigo1947 pilot has suffered a fracture in his tibia and pelvis, as well as his right forearm. To Nicolas, who for several years has worn the colors of our alliance, we send our best wishes for a good recovery, with the hope of seeing him back on the saddle as soon as possible.

Just seen the crash, he got wiped out by another rider who lost control of his bike.

There's some fairly graphic X-ray pictures on the BSF. Wouldn't be expecting him to be riding any time soon

COVATTI INJURY BLOW SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 2024 PLYMOUTH have suffered a major blow with big winter signing Nico Covatti injured in a crash in Argentina.
Covatti is due to make his return to UK racing with the Gladiators in the Cab Direct Championship this season and was continuing his winter programme in the International Speedway Championship.
But he was involved in a frightening accident with former Sheffield rider Facundo Albin in the Final of the ninth round, as both came down heavily on the exit of the second bend.
Whilst Albin appears to have avoided serious injury, pending further scans, Covatti suffered arm and leg fractures with surgery to come next Thursday.
He told La Nueva: “We will have to think about when the return to Italy will be after the operation. We are evaluating having my wife come with the baby, and thus be a little more contained here.
“Right now, it’s about being as united as possible. In Italy I will start with rehabilitation and, from there, by the spring of Europe I will be able to start touring.”

Not sure if he has Polish commitments, but that's probably the same problem with any top rider with Plymouth having a Saturday race night. (Looks like he may have signed for Landshut, who are in Germany but race in the Polish Liga 1,i.e. Second Division)

I can't post any information that I haven't got, so please be patient and as soon as I know I will post on here. The only information I have had is on the Press and Practice 2024 thread, further down the page.

I know this probably won’t be right but since I’m bored I’ve been thinking of riders that could possibly be brought in as a replacement number 1: Ludwig Lindgren, krzysztof sadurski, Gino manzares.
