With the first meeting of the 2024 season rapidly approaching, a couple of rain offs may give us a bit of a leeway. Should we even be thinking of putting the Plymouth Season 2024 Licence on ice for 12 months and aim for a March 2025 season start instead, there I've said it now, was anyone thinking along the same lines. I wouldn’t put it on ice. Mark still has bills to pay and us the fans still want our speedway fix. And being the only club in the southwest this would definitely not be the best option. I’m sure something will come good. P+P wouldn’t of gone ahead if Mark and Garry didn’t have a plan B in place

Looks like my crystal ball prediction of two rain off meetings has come into effect.

With Plymouth getting a 28 day guest facility for Nico, it does seem to have stirred a bit of a *hornets* nest over on the British Speedway Forum, all very entertaining stuff, you've just got to laugh it off of course, it must be giving the qwerty warriors something to do and think on a dismal, rainy spring when they can't get out much. Not to worry I'm sure they'll get a life and make it out into the summer sun eventually, you never know, they may drag themselves along to their local track, instead of streaming it into their darkened front rooms watching it on the telebox.
*With apologies to all Newport and Rochdale Speedway fans of course.

Went to P&P on Saturday and congratulations to Mark and all his team of helpers to get the track extended through the diabolical winter weather. It looks great .
It will give all riders a better chance of passing and give everybody exciting viewing and hopefully bring in more bums on seats throughout the season.

Rain....track was covered in snow last night. I am reminded of a Monday night at Exeter's County Ground in the mid 1970's, it was either 1975 or 1977 (not 1976 as that was a scorchio summer) but can't quite remember which, one of the last days of May or first days of June, just before heat one when the temperature suddenly dramatically dropped and we had a fall of snow, it may have only lasted for a couple minutes, it didn't stick as they say but a silence came over the crowd more in astonishment than anything, of course today people are more used to extremes of weather I suppose, I can remember the Hamoaze freezing over in the winter of 1963 but not to the extent of being able to get an ice speedway jawa on it though.

In todays Speedway Star, there is an article on Nico. I have put it in the Speedway Star section.
